REVIEW: AYA Fairy Drops Volume and Curl Burst Film-type Mascara

Sorry so few posts, gals! I've been under the "monthly visit" and a boatload of work at the office.  Plus, I started using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo and it's been making it's way into my eye area and drying it out somehow :(
Today I threw a million coats of an amazing mascara on my lashes:
Up 'til now I've been thinking of it as the "Pink Tube" Fairy Drops, but it's actually the non-waterproof one. I LOVE the Las Vegas theme of the packaging!  This mascara is great :-D It reasonably holds my curl, volumizes and lengthens as it says, and really gives my lashes the dolly-eyes look.
You can really put on layer upon layer of this formula, and it gives you plenty of time until it dries to work out the clumps, all while not feeling too "wet."
I bought this from iMomoko; you can get it here.  It's not a cheap thrill, but it's as great as any Dior mascara I've ever tried.  My picture is taken after six hours of wear and I've experienced no flaking or smudging.  <3 If you don't mind ordering online or the nearly $24 price tag, I highly recommend it!
Eek... sorry about the red veins, I've been hard at work on my computer all morning (since 8 AM and it's now 1 PM!).

  7. @Gaby, I don't like gimmicky brushes, either. I don't know if this one does anything special but it works like it should!
@Seana, ever haul Japanese makeup? I'm a Japanophile so if you want recommendations I'd be happy to suggest some stuff :)

  8. First of all, the color of your eyes is like WHOA. ;) So pretty! Secondly, the mascara looks great. That wand is so funky and unique!

  9. Wow, Danielle, thanks so much ^.^ The wand is more snowman-shaped than it appears here, and the three stacked "balls" make it easier to apply multiple coats and then re-separate lashes. When I opened it I was like "eeek, how do I use this?" but it wound up being pretty intuitive :)

  11. This looks great! I'm a big fan of Scandal Queen (the one Sephora carries) - it's water-resistant, but I don't find it difficult to remove (unlike a certain mascara I've been using most days lately - ahem, Benefit They're Real!! That sucker is a BIOTCH to get off!!). I'd love to try this one!

  13. @Old Cow,I can't recall trying other Japanese mascaras, but this is one of the few mascaras I've EVER tried that doesn't weigh down my curl. If you can find it, it might work (if that's your issue)!

@Jessica, I haven't tried that one (somehow it's more expensive, haha!) but Benefit They're Real flaked on me. I haven't really heard of it flaking on anybody else but for me that is a cardinal mascara sin! This Fairy Drops one didn't come off completely with my remover wipe, but the rest of it was easily finished off with Philosophy Purity, PLUS I didn't have lash loss (which I usually do, argh).

  15. I've never tried ANYTHING from Japan (unless you consider BB creams), but I've been hearing lots of hype over it all lately, so I would love if you could recommend some brands! :)

  19. Your lashes look really good, I don't usually put mascara because I tend to rub my eyes a lot (bad habit), and mascara really irritates my eyes so I try to avoid it. thank God I have naturally thick/curly eyelashes!

  20. Hi Farrah! I go through phases with mascara, because it irritates my eyes, too. Right now I'm big into heavy eye makeup but I'll go days and days avoiding mascara when I'm not blogging :)
