Childhood Dream

My Jewelmint showroom is available today, and while I liked some of the pieces nothing really felt like a must-have.  Instead of Jewelmint this month, I've decided to purchase this ring off amazon.com:

When I was a little girl, purple was my favorite color (it has since been appropriated by my older sister, but it's not like I'm going to pitch a fit!).  I wanted nothing more than to become a princess and have a "purple-stone ring," as I called it (somewhere I've got a raggedy old Hanukkah list with that item on it, along with a teddy bear wearing pointe shoes).  I'm pretty sure my parents bought me a fun little costume Amethyst ring at the time, but not only do I not have it anymore, I'm sure it wouldn't fit, LOL.  When I saw this ring I thought it was my childhood dream come true <3  It will be such a fun cocktail ring for February (not my birthstone, but the hearts feel just right for Valentine's Day).

Born Girly.

  3. Beautiful ring! I always loved that color of purple as well! I agree the jewelmint showroom was a bit not my style, but I was eying maybe two items! lol

  4. I think sometimes things we want as children are things we truly want; we'll remember them even when we get older! I'm glad you were able to make this dream come true!

  5. @Stephanie C., sure I'll post about it! With a NOTD or something :)
@Nic Nic, I have that problem, too. I'm really worried it won't fit :-/
@Dovey, it's not so much the object itself that's important - I just love how when I saw this ring it "took me back," so to speak, and really was what I had in mind when I dreamed the ring up all those years ago <3
